Edwin de Graaf has more than nine years of experience as a venture capitalist in the biotechnology industry.
He joined Gilde as an Investment Manager of Gilde Strategic Situations Fund where he led investments in funds managed by AXA (France), Amadeus (UK), Technologie Holding (now 3i, Germany) and OneLiberty Ventures (now Flagship Ventures, US).
Edwin de Graaf co-founded Gilde’s healthcare investment practice in 2000 and became Managing Director and General Partner of Gilde Healthcare Partners in 2007.
Prior to joining Gilde, Edwin de Graaf was a tax consultant in the international tax department of Coopers & Lybrand in the Netherlands.
Edwin de Graaf currently serves on the board of Pieris AG and served on the boards of GlycArt AG (trade sale to Roche) and AMT (Euronext: AMT).
Edwin de Graaf holds a masters degree in business and fiscal economics from the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
